Beyond Norms is What?

I can quite firmly say that a new era does not signify a new dimension, but is the vice versa possible? That is, can a new dimension be the start of a new era?
Looking back, lets take the case of Time. Please note that I have begun this statement with the phrase: "looking back". Time is a dimension, and it has definitely revolutionised our way of thinking. But is that the same as a new era or just a revolution, akin to the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century, in a more practical form? Here, by practical I am signifying a relative increase of 'in use'.
Pondering on this point, would there even have been an Industrial Revolution if we hadn't defined the quantity Time?? Does it change the intellectual capacity of a person if he knows the time? No doubt it increases productivity of an individual (minus the perpetual procastinators!), but humans would still work in the day and rest at night!

I think the basic problem is the misunderstanding of the word "era". The American Heritage Dictionary defines it as "A period of time characterized by particular circumstances, events, or personages".

I therefore do believe that new dimensions (not only scientific but also thought processes - take any of Newton, Einstein, Nash or even Alfred Sloan or Shakespeare for example!) would cause changes in eras, although the change may not be distinctly at a particular instant of time.

So we remain the question : If it weren't for the discovery of Time, would life have still gone on as usual? (I assume in this question that the technological, etc. advances may be at a much slower rate.) Then again is the era change just relative?

Ponder my firends, and rack thy nutty brains!

Spontaneously Isolated

A nice statement a lot of people make "Why Charlie, look at what the World is coming to!" Are we really wondering about the World? Or are we talking about ourselves and how change is really changing our lives? Or, from a more blunt viewpoint - Are we talking about our inability to keep up with the abstract term known as "progress"?

What governs our lives anyway? How much is God's role, when all Holy Literature refers to us naive beings as Seekers? Sure some of us find our Beliefs, some of us don't. But what decides this - luck? Karma? I'm sure I'll find the answer somewhere - where though i do not know..

So I find myself pondering over this and a hundred other questions which I don't remember (is there a measure for throughput of thought processes?).
So I went for a movie ALONE for the first time in my life. Strange, I found myself enjoying a German movie with only subtitles to bridge the gap between "Danke" and "thank you". After which, I went to a bookstore - on impulse not of the randomness I was so proud of earlier (where art you oh Holy One! :P ). And as is with impulse, I didn't know what to do! I mean, there's not really a variety of things you can actually do at a bookstore, assuming you're a perfectly civilised person. Anyhow, there I was looking for a THIN book - again, strange for me. Some people say that people don't change - I say change is only temporary. Change is progressive my friends and it is this progressiveness that lead me to look at the fiction sections a in a manner so condescendingly, I finally realised why my Dad says that fiction is a waste of time. I mean, what I'm doing is free flow writing but hey - fiction? Is it really just for kids or am I just being especially morose? Probably just one of those days, what can I say?

So I bought these two books - something about what is everything by the emminent physicist Feynman and another about the future of the internet (which was FAT by the way).

Where I started and where I have ended (random) are part of The Movement. Stay with me friends, the Story is yet to begin.

The Dawn

I never thought I'd actually pen down my thoughts EVER - It's totally NOT me. Then again, change is the only thing that doesn't change in our lives.

General Warning: Before you proceed further into the depths of my mind, you've got to understand the difference between being impulsive and being random. I'm not here to tell you that though. I'm here to tell y'all a story with that kept in mind. And since it's my mind and thats the essence of me it's really not that difficult.
What can I say - just be careful people. You may just end up as part of The Movement.

More later. Lots more.
